Overview

This article describes the steps to replace an existing Plan in the Plan Library. You might need to replace a Plan if you started with a blank Plan or a temporary drawing but now have an official floor-plan with which to work. Note that you must be a Manager or an Administrator in order to perform these actions.

It's very important to be aware that the location of Devices in existing Projects and Live Sites will not be changed when replacing the Plan. If the new Plan does not have the same orientation, scale and dimensions as the original, the location of Devices may need to be adjusted to fit the new Plan.

Step 1: Replace Plan

  2. Navigate to the Plan to be replaced.
  3. Hover your mouse over the Plan image to display editing options.
  4. Click the Replace Image button to upload the new plan image.

  5. If there are Devices in Projects (Design or Installation) or in Live Sites using this Plan, a warning will be displayed. As the warning states, if the new Plan has different dimensions or scale, existing Devices will need to repositioned to ensure they are in the correct locations on the new Plan.
  6. Click the Continue button to proceed with the replacement process.
