Whether you're calling out a change for your team or annotating a detail before a client review, marking up a plan lets you communicate directly on top of your floor plan.
In this article, you'll learn how to open Markup mode and use the annotation tools.
Marking Up a Plan
- Open the plan you want to mark up.
- Click the Markup icon in the top toolbar to enter Markup mode.
- Choose a tool from the left panel: Sticker, Annotate, or Crop.
- Pick a shape or line style from the bottom toolbar, options include Sharpie, Line, Arrow, Rectangle, Ellipse, and Text.
- Set your color and line width using the dropdowns next to the tool options.
- Draw or write directly on the plan.
- Click Save Markup to keep your changes, or Cancel to discard them.
⚠️ Once you click Save Markup, it cannot be undone. Double-check your markup before saving, if you need to make changes after that point, you'll need to create a new markup rather than edit or reverse the saved one.
A Few Things to Know
- Saved markups are permanent. There's no undo after you click Save Markup, so review your work carefully first.
- Your plan's Unit of Measurement (set at the Account level) controls how scale, device height, and coverage range are displayed, so make sure it's set correctly before relying on markups for measurements.
- Use Undo (the arrow icon, top-left) if you need to back out of a markup stroke before saving.
What's Next
