Introduction
A punch list is a list of tasks and items that need to be completed before a project is considered finished. Creating, maintaining, and completing an accurate punch list is critical to delivering a successful project. With SiteOwl, you don't have to wait until the end of the project to track a punch list - you can monitor it from the very beginning to ensure costly surprises don't appear out of nowhere, making it easy to prioritize when and how items are completed.
Punch List Summary
To see summary numbers for your projects, just go to the project summary list (Design or Install). Here, you'll see a column called Punch List:
The number shown is the total of outstanding Tasks and Devices for each project. To see more details, click on the number.
Punch List Details
When you click the number in the Punch List column, the Project Devices page is displayed:

Filters & Columns
- You can add filters and columns to this view if needed, including a Device/Task filter that allows you to see only Devices, only Tasks, or All.
- When adding additional columns, any fields that are not relevant to a device or task will be crossed through and cannot be edited using the Inline Edit option.
Saved Searches
The Punch List view is different from the Custom Search view of Project Devices you may have previously saved. Easily modify your view by clicking the Configure Columns option.
Choose Custom Search to set the specific fields you wish to view, Punch List, Completed Work or Photo Review and click the Update button.
You can also access a filtered Punch List from the Project (Design or Install) view:
- Just click on the Information icon, select Count, and click on the "Combined Total" number at the bottom.
- This will take you to a Punch List just for that specific plan list.
